Greetings,
I'm guessing you are on this page out of curiousity or you are a member of some
sort of news media team. The purpose of this page is to provide you some basic information
and to give you links to the old site I was using to try and raise support for my
family. I moved the old site and made this page the gateway to it because I don't
think the old site was working and it wasn't working mainly because I don't have
local or national media supporting me and that means I don't really have any credibility
at all. I need a well known news agency to get involved and validate this site and
the experiences of my family.
The first problem is that news media agencies will think that, "This isn't news.
It's 5 years old and now this guy just wants money." To that I have to
say contact
me and get more information. There's a lot of relevant news here and it does matter.
Micron Technology, Americas biggest DRAM manufacturer just announced layoffs
this week
(July 9th - 13th). I was caught up in the 2003 Micron layoff and it couldn't
have hit me and my family at a worse time. I'm absolutely convinced I was laid off
because my child was costing Micron too much money in benefits but they did a good
job of making it look random. That's news in itself and
it's relevant. I think more
news comes from the fact that I'm self-employed and in a time where many in Boise
will now be seeking work I represent an option open to many of them now that they
have been cut loose by Micron and need to come up with some sort of income plan.
I think my duaghter and her experiences are the biggest piece of news. She's 5 years
old and a long ways from being recovered from her experiences. In fact I think her
experiences would touch the hearts of a lot of people. We are in a truly unique
situation and we have very limited choices. Parents of children with cancer have
1000 more options than we do. Doctors know next to nothing about kids with Katie's
condition because 25 years ago kids like Katie died at birth from starvation.
